We have interviewed with 4S General Manager Melih Akyılmaz about their activities, objectives, new structuring in İstanbul and their interest on social media.
4S Information Technologies have set their annual target as Business this year. It works for integrating ‘Business and Technology’. 4S positions itself as ‘Reliable Information Technologies Consultant”. He separates themselves from the other integrators. 4S General Manager Melih Akyılmaz said that they have a wide service range varying from value-adding consultancy services as per customers’ needs to after-sale support. He added that they had a productive and successful year.
2012 Target
Akyılmaz stated that in addition to consultancy services that they provide, they have defined their focus in 2012 as “Business”. They have categorised their objectives as “Business Intelligence”, “Business Technologies Management’ and ‘Business Continuity”. Akyılmaz expressed that they plan to excel the services by integrating business and IT technologies. He told that public and private sector should well manage the projects that have already started and they should utilize available sources effectively. If we treat the technology only as a supply item, we do not serve for IT sector in Turkey.” He added that their goal is being a value-adding IT consultant. New Structuring Period in İstanbul
Akyılmaz mentioned that they have some organizational changes in 4S İstanbul which has completed many successful “Business Technologies Management” projects in Turkey and abroad. He told that this restructuring is aiming at improving administrative and consultant team. Akyılmaz stated that they adopt customer-oriented approach and they develop themselves accordingly. He said that they aim at providing more qualified service by empowered consultant staff.

Akyılmaz stated that communication strategies of the companies are very important and they should be always reviewed. He told that social media communication has become very important recently. He added that 4S has used social networks actively for eight months. Besides webpage, 4S has launched 4S blog in order to connect with all interested parties and customers directly and to solve their problems. Information sharing increased via this blog.
