Vmware has acquired Zimbra from Yahoo at the beginning of 2010 and added open source e-mail, calendar and combined solutions into product portfolio.

Vmware Zimbra Collaboration Suite provides web and offline support at different platforms and also enables you to share your calendar or meeting requests that you have created with internal and external users using e-mail solutions of different manufacturers. One copy of your e-mails and data on your calendar is stored in the server by the latest version. Therefore, you will be always able to recover your e-mails that you delete that you think they are useless. In addition, it presents advanced document share features; document versioning is also new coming feature. You can share a document within share platform without sending them. It is possible to make detailed search and e-mail attachments.

Zimbra is different than the others because it can be installed as a virtual appliance. The ones who do not want to use virtualization can also install it directly. Zimbra Collaboration Server Appliance installation is quite easy and quick. It can be easily managed without need for a script from a web-based interface.
